About the Artist

Lenore Rae Lampi is a ceramic artist from Duluth, Minnesota whose sculptural vessels draw inspiration from the rippling texture of birch bark and the layered skin of trees. With both a fine art and art-education background, she combines wheel-thrown and hand-built porcelain techniques with experimental glazes and surface treatments to create work that speaks of strength, endurance and quiet beauty. Her “Tree Skin” series interprets natural forms through intimate manipulation of clay—each piece a tactile meditation on memory and transformation.
